REAL ESTATE FLOOR PLAN SERVICE
A real estate floor plan drawing of a property can give a prospective buyer or tenant a very quick visual way to recognise the shape of the space available and it can potentially be used. Rather than relying on a few photos or a site visit the floor plan can show everything with absolute precision to help decision making.
Real estate floor plan drawings for sales or leasing
Prospective buyers and tenants can use a real estate floor plan drawing to quickly visualise the available space in a property that is for sale or rent. Our team can prepare simple floor plan drawings specifically designed for commercial, retail or industrial real estate properties whether for sales or leasing campaigns. Our team has always focussed on the commercial real estate market so we know exactly what you need.
The output is a Marketing Drawing that can show;
- Internal office fit out.
- Amenity details.
- Columns.
- Doors.
- Roller shutters (if applicable)
- Clearance heights in warehouses, stairs & workstations (if required).
Everything is colour coded to show the different spaces or elements like offices, warehouse and amenities etc. By displaying the overall dimensions of a building or tenancy it can give you a good understanding of the size of the premises and make it easier for real estate agents to market the property.
We can also include custom details like the width and height of a roller door, tenancy renewal dates and lease information if required with any drawings able to be shared with relevant, accurate, and understandable information.
Prospective buyers or tenants can quickly visualise how the building will benefit their intended use.
Some common scenarios for using a real estate floor plan include;
- Valuation of a Property.
- Sale of a Property.
- Prospective Tenants moving into a new premise.
- Determining internal clearances.
- Assisting with office fit-outs or partition walls.
A real estate floor plan can be applied to industrial, commercial & retail sites. They can be used in Information Memorandums (IM’s) for the sale of a property, handed to existing tenants, space planning and for property marketing campaigns.
A floor plan becomes an excellent base for marketing the sale of a building or for prospective tenants looking for a new space to occupy.

How do we typically create real estate floor plans
We gather as much information as possible about the type of floor plan you require prior to us submitting a fee proposal. Once we are engaged to carry out these works we then request access to the premises through either the property manager or tenant.
Our experienced Surveyors & Field Technicians are highly trained in gathering the information to accurately survey all visible elements within a building.
We utilise the latest surveying technology to capture our data then produce our floor plans. Using the latest CAD software programs everything is captured and processed accurately to start producing our marketing drawings. The equipment we use is state of the art, ranging from traditional total stations to 3D laser scanning or RPA (drone). We only use the latest software tools including AutoCAD & Revit.
Once our plans are drafted they go through an intensive QA process via an independent audit to ensure that what we have captured is delivered to the highest levels of accuracy possible.
In summary;
- Initial consultation to ensure we can meet your needs.
- Agree on a scope of work.
- A site visit is organised with one of our qualified technicians with the necessary data collection equipment.
- All data is then processed via our team located in one of our offices around the Country.
- All plans or drawings are then independently reviewed via our QA process.
- All deliverables are then created for viewing in PDF, AutoCAD or Revit.
- We also have the ability to create an ‘Uplift’ model which is an interactive view of the site.
