A Leasing Survey, or as we refer to it a Lettable Area Survey, is an accurately measured survey of floor space. Lettable Area Surveys are often used to assist with rental calculations, property valuations and lease negotiations. These are calculated in accordance with the Property Council of Australia – Method of Measurement Guidelines.
Requesting and receiving a Lettable Area Survey from an experienced surveying company like Realserve is an essential part of obtaining an accurate Lettable Area and safeguarding the interests of both tenants and owners. A small miscalculation in the NLA (Net Lettable Area), GLA (Gross Lettable Area) or GLAR (Gross Lettable Area – Retail) of a property can have significant impacts when multiplied over the course of a 5, 10 or 20 year lease.
We create our leasing survey or lettable area survey plans with our format that complies with Method of Measurement as set out by the Property Council of Australia (formerly known as BOMA surveys).
