SURVEY PLANS FOR SHOPPING CENTRES
THE SERVICE REQUEST
Vicinity Centres are one of Australia’s leading retail property groups and manage a large retail shopping complex in Cranbourne Park, Victoria. They had a total of 50 storage cages that required survey plans to be created accurately and quickly. Ten of the cages were empty and required immediate leasing so our surveying had to be done on the same day of the request. With our extensive experience with commercial property management we realised every day was costing this company significant rental revenues given the cages were empty and under-utilised.
OUR APPROACH
With speed and accuracy of greatest importance we established an innovative workflow to measure the spaces and provide a live feed of data to the team in the office to begin drafting. Our drafting team took all the field notes to draw up the survey plans calculating each area accurately with each one being passed on immediately to the client while the others were being measured. Our innovative approach to solving this service request meant we were able to deliver the survey plans almost ‘live’.
THE RESULTS
- Same day on-site turnaround using our Topcon Total Station, traverse kit & hand held distometer for accurate measurements.
- Survey plans were drawn up and created using AutoCAD.
- The client executed their leasing strategy immediately.
